A Different Sort of Easter

Easter will look quite different for many of us this year. If you are used to attending a church, this year you'll probably be watching a message online from the comfort of your own home. The question is "does this change Easter"?

Easter is all about the death and resurrection of Jesus. This fundamental truth means that Christ is alive today. And if Jesus is the one true and living God, then you are able to have a relationship with Him regardless of your location.

We were created to live in relationship with God. Without this, we have a gap and an emptiness inside of us. This leads to questions:

What's my purpose?

Without a true relationship with Jesus, we will never identify your true purpose. Only in a relationship with our creator do we find the true meaning and purpose of our lives.

Why am I never good enough?

Every human carries a burden. The burden of brokenness. This may form in feelings of envy, arrogance, adultery, theft, anger. This separates us from having a relationship with God, but Jesus and His death upon the cross has freed us by providing forgiveness through this act of grace.

What happens after death?

The question of eternity. It has been sown onto our hearts. Being forgiven and allowing us to have a relationship with the invisible God through Christ has meant we have salvation. Instead of an eternity without God, we now have the promise of a great inheritance - eternity with God.

So, while it might be a different kind of Easter... it has not changed our need for a savior. And that savior is Jesus Christ.
